- I am new to the HP; perhaps someone can help me with the following
- problem. When logging in to the console, my .cshrc is not read when
- a new window is opened. In addition, a job winds stopped up in background,
- complaining that it cannot cat the copyright notice to the screen. When
- I rlogin remotely I don't have this problem, and when I login without
- the window manager directly onto the console I don't have this problem.
- My .login file contains the following lines, among others:
-
- # Add windows at login:
- if ( "`who am i`" =~ *console* ) then
- if ( -x /usr/bin/x11start ) then
- exec /usr/bin/x11start
- endif
- endif
-
- It seems to be windows opened from the X environment that have this
- problem.
-
- Can anybody help?
-
- -P.
