- I agree that HP is gradually migrating to ISO 8859, which seems
- to me *the* good thing to do. However, let me expose an little
- (but irritating) problem while on this subject:
-
- I am using "hpterm" which lets me use a localized (french) keyboard
- (46021AF). I can specify an ISO font, but I didn't succeed in
- specifying correct keypress -> ISO code mapping. I am using :
- hpterm -fn -adobe-courier-medium-r-normal--12-120-75-75-m-70-iso8859-1
- If I enter an accented letter, the Roman 8 code is generated and
- displayed with an ISO font...
-
- I am sure "hpterm" is able to use the correct mapping since I can
- use the [system] menu, then [config keys], then [terminal config]
- and un-select [ROMAN8] to get what I am looking for... (no, I don't
- want to press 4 keys every time I open a window).
-
- I have tried to use "keyboardLanguage" resources, but without
- any success.
-
- FYI, I am experiencing this problem on :
- 425T running 8.0 on local console
- 720 running 8.05 on a 700/RX
-
- Must I wait for the 9.0 ?
