  15. Well, I saw one - Richard Nelson, who set up and ran PPC (THE original
  16. PPC in the USA) - had one of the very few that TI made. They were never
  17. put on open sale - apparently they could not do as much as the HP-41 
  18. which they were supposed to compete with, but the fear at TI was said
  19. to be that they were too strong a competition for the handheld BASIC
  20. computers TI were planning to release at the same time. So, the TI-88
  21. never went on sale.
