  12. We had a bunch of 4200's on back order, and our sales-weenie is trying to
  13. convince us to buy 4100's instead. Can someone please confirm :

  15.     - Does the 4000-100 support BOTH SCSI and DSSI ?

  17.     - If DSSI support is included, then how many devices are
  18.       suppored with the base configuration (i.e., does it support
  19.       two (2) strings (14 devices) like the 4500's, or only one (1)
  20.       string (7 devices)
  21.  
  22.     - Is the TF85 supported ? or just SCSI tape ?
  23.  
  24.     - How many drive bays are included ? (if DSSI, how many RF72/73's)
  25.  
  26.     - What is the minimum (yet unreleased) version of VMS required
  27.       (I have heard both 5.5-2 and 5.5-3)

  29. I believe the answer to the first question is 'yes, both are supported',
  30. however I find this a bit odd. I want to make sure we are NOT going to get
  31. stuck with SCSI (read NOT-DSSI) disks.

  33. Our sales-weenie is going to get me some information, but currently I have
  34. only seen high-level slides. I am interested in getting the 'right' answers
  35. ASAP so that if there are any potential configuration problems, I can bring
  36. them to light before our managing partner signs the deal.
