- Here's the latest dope on TC128 issue #32 from GEnie. Since this was posted,
- all of the USA issues have been mailed out. I am not sure about international
- issues.

- Everyone has started to ask me about issue #32. Yes, it is out :)
- I didn't want to post anything until I had ALL the issues mailed, but since
- so many people are asking, why not!
-
- Issue #32 is done, printed, and we have been packaging and mailing it since
- last week. I expect to have all the US issues without the companion disk
- done Tuesday and the ones with the companion disk done Wednesday.
-
- Since the biggest complaint has been about the newspaper pages (which had
- to be used or otherwise I never could have taken over TC-128) I decided
- to meet people 1/2 way since I had some extra money. The issue is done with
- 40lb wrap, which is like copypaper. The outside pages and 1/2 the inside
- pages are done with it. It is a "heavier" issue and with our regular cover
- art back it sure looks a lot nicer (yea Joe E!).
-
- This was the "experiment" issue with color ink. Came out fairly good.
- Next issue will be two-four color ink for the ads which on the better
- paper will make advertisers happier and give TC-128 a better newstand
- appearance and partly appease those who where disappointed with
- the newsprint. People do judge a book by its cover ..... (sigh)
-
- This was also the plastic bag issue :)
- People have asked for it, I have wanted to use it, so we did :)
- If I can find labels that stick well to the plastic bags we will put the
- labels on the outside to keep the issue "virgin".
-
- Canadian and Overseas subscribers are going to be pleased. No more surface
- mail via. the USPS. Out of the country deliveries has been spotty and bad,
- that is an understatement.
-
- As of this issue, at a much greater cost, we are using alternative mail
- delivery services. I will have it narrowed down to two vendors and will
- probably go with Global mail. I really didn't want to go this route since
- I wasn't the one that got paid for the original subscriptions ...
- but they are my customers now and I couldn't stand the thought of C-128
- owners
- in Australia waiting 3-6 months for an issue!
-
- These services claim 7-14 days maximum (faster than US 3rd class!) for
- delivery. If what they claim holds water it will be "well" worth it :)
-
- We sent out resubscription notices for people running out on issue #31 AND
- #32 because I have planned for quite a while to print #33 at the end of
- July. I really want to get the six issues per year (Sept to Sept) if
- possible.
-
- If you run out on issue #32 and don't resubscribe in time you will end up
- starting at #33 and having to buy #32 as a back issue, which might not be
- available!
-
- In short, sorry issue #32 couldn't go out earlier but I didn't have the
- money or people to spare at the time (been buying some C-128 treats for
- you ;). Not to mention my spare time has been sparse.
-
- I did listen to the complaints and compliments and think I have produced
- (with the help of the authors) one of the best TC-128s yet.
- At least 32 pages of "good stuff" and 40 pages total will probably be the
- format for the next couple of issues. Hope you enjoy #32 and soon #33.
