- Hot 1541s aren't unusual. First, if the drives are stacked one on top of
- the other, unstack them. Otherwise try
- 1) blocks of wood under the legs to raise the drive and improve air
- circulation.
- 2) a cardboard cylinder 2 ft high at the vent on the top of the 1541.
- It's a chimney.
- 3) a fan. Some put the fan on the top of the 1541. I put one underneath,
- blowing air through a piece of air conditioner filter into the drive.
- The filter traps dust.
