- Just a small clarification here (sorry!). I was suggesting adding an extra
- space only to args that were all spaces. In a more mathematical statement,
- this means any string of n>=0 spaces is mapped to a string of n+1 spaces.

- Of course, that doesn't make the implementation any simpler, actually a
- bit harder, but it seems to make more sense to me.
