  10.     Well, having bought a Tos 2.05 MSTe 4/50 with a 1.44 drive in it, that
  11. was not working, I have now upgraded it to TOS 2.06, and installed a newer ajax
  12. chip.  However still no luck.  From the desktop the machines ALWAYS fails a
  13. format of a HD disk somewhere very soon after the 40th track.
  14.     I have tried disconnecting the power to the hard drive to see if it was a
  15. power supply problem, but the same thing continued.  Thus, I am not at a
  16. complete loss as to possibilities.  I changed to newer TOS, a new Ajax chip,
  17. and reduced the load on the power supply, without any noticeable change to
  18. the formatting of HD floppies.
  19.    Anyone have any further suggestions?
