  25. The main problem is that the bus handshaking has totally changed with teh
  26. '040. On the 680[0123]0 the CPU has the bus by defaults and gives it up to
  27. peripherals. On the 68040 the bus is "free" by default and is only acquired
  28. by the CPU when necessary.

  30. The other problem on course would be adding the '040 FP software to the
  31. system :-) and hoping that TOS initialises the PMMU in the chip in the
  32. correct way (the '040 only has a sub-set of the instructions for this that
  33. the '030 has).
