  11. I had the exact same problem with my mouse. I thought it was a broken trace
  12. on the PCB, or (even worse) a broken cable. However, after some looking
  13. at the PCB with a magnifying glass, I found that one of the pins of the
  14. little SMD chip had come off because it was badly soldered. I resoldered it,
  15. and since then the mouse has been working without problems.
