-
- As one of the people on the Multitos distribution list, I do have the
- latest version of MultiTOS and it has NOT reached version 1.0! It does
- work well on a STe, and a suprising number of programs work with it. In
- fact, well over 70% of the programs I have run! Updates for MTOS are
- happening at a fantastic rate and it is improving to a finished prouduct
- surprisingly fast. Remember that most other OS versions probobly has
- similar problems that your 'beta' version has.
-
- This prouduct is currently under development by Atari and while it seems
- that Atari has chosen to be slightly more vocal about this project than
- most others, developers should not be talking in-depth about this project,
- nor handing it out to people who have not been cleared by Bill Rehbock at
- Atari.
-
- Your critisism of MTOS is highly premature. There are inherent problems
- with soft-loaded OS, as MTOS is currently. People who use softloaded
- versions of TOS run those at thier own risk! Almost no developer recomends
- using softloaded TOS 1.0 to solve compatiblty problems, since this places a
- hard disk at a grave risk.
-
- If you were given MTOS in confidence, please keep that confidence and
- dont disclose info about MTOS prematurely. I've already streached myself
- more than I feel comfortable, so I'll be quiet now ;-)
