- Greetings,
-
- I have (beneath my hands) an old (c. 1985) 1040STF. I am curious about
- the potential for upgrade of this machine. Specifically, memory, TOS (curren-
- ly 1.0), and special things (like blitter, and accelerators). I have been told
- that there is a 2.5 M upgrade and a 4 M upgrade, without much detail. Will
- they fit into this tiny case? How about TOS? I know 2.06 is around, but how
- easy will it be to get into this thing?
-
- I am curious about the accelerators as well. The SST board--will or will
- not fit? How about the TinyTurbo '030? What are my memory requirements for
- either of those? Would I be better off getting a Mega2 STE? I understand
- the megas have a VME bus--true? Will the accelerators word on the STE's?
- I burn to know the answers to these questions and more!
