- One option I played with a few years ago is to use one of the two or
- three screen-capture utilities in combination with a monochrome GIF
- display program such as giffer (the one I tried) or mgif (haven't tried)
- to get your Degas image. The Degas image being a pretty straight write
- of the screen, the screen-capture utilities I saw used Degas format.

- This has the advantage of generating a PI3 image, rather than trying to
- create one from a PI2 or PI1.

- It was a couple of years ago, so I don't remember program names. They
- are available from atari.archive.umich.edu. Giffer is also available
- from comp.binaries.atari.st archives.
