  12. I have an Apple LaserWriter IINTX plugged into my serial port on a Mega ST.

  14. It prints PostScript files perfectly as long as I follow this
  15. procedure:

  17. 1. Make sure the printer settings are right in the Control Panel.
  18.  
  19. 2. Switch the printer on, and wait for it to get ready.
  20.  
  21. 3. Print the file.
  22.  
  23. However, after printing the file, the printer light continues to flash as
  24. though it is receiving more data. If I try printing another file
  25. immediately, nothing happens.

  27. I suspect the file is not being terminated properly and the printer is
  28. waiting for something. The end of the file looks like this:

  31.     grestore
  32.     %%Trailer
  33.  
  34. Eventually, after several minutes, the green light stops flashing and I can
  35. print something else - presumably, the printer timed out.
  36.  
  37. Also, if I switch the printer on and then alter the printer settings using
  38. the Rho Control Panel, the green light starts flashing as though
  39. something has been sent from the serial port.

  41. I am using XON/XOFF, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, 9600 baud, TOS1.4. The
  42. handshake seems to be working fine.

  44. Can anyone suggest what is happening and how to fix it?
