- More info about the Falcon again!
- (This time from ST Format)
-
- The Falcon will have a 1.44 Mb drive and will be in the same case as an 1040
- STE. It will also have a SCSI 2 port rather than DMA. (can anyone tell me
- what the difference is between SCSI and SCSI 2?).
- It will have a 10-channel 16-bit sound chip (this doen't mean much to me
- because I no nothing about music!) with MIDI In and Out, with Through being
- available via the Out port.
- Graphics should be good with 30 screen modes, 16 million (!!!!!!!) colours.
- RAM will be upgradable to 16 megs (don't know what it will start at).
- It will be more compatible with the ST than either the Mega STE or the TT
- (good news to me!)
- The processor will be a 68030 (speed unknown) with a Motorola DSP56001 chip.
- This will make the thing run much faster so I'm told but again I have no idea
- about this kind of thing.
- All this and probably more for only 550 English pounds. (note the English :-)
