  14. I am trying to write a real synthesizer-type program for the ST.
  15. I can build a wavetable, which consists of amplitudes, which then
  16. is supposed to be sent to the sound chip and played, producing a
  17. clear tone.  Unfortunately, nothing seems to work.

  19. I really need sources to a program which can play digitized sound
  20. and the format of the files it sucks up.  I can then tweak that
  21. into being a backend for the wavetable generator, and presto! a
  22. synthesizer.  If I implemented MIDI in as a third step, I'd have
  23. a MIDI-capable sampling synthesizer.  After this, I could get a real
  24. job in a field I'd love to work in.
