- Well a few people asked me to post a follow up if I
- sorted it out. Well i have at least it appears so. Firstly
- someone suggested de-greasing the mouse pins, which I did
- and it partially worked, so I opened the old STe up, and
- had a look at the connections, I found a dry joint on one
- of the pins! Re-soldered it and hey presto it appears to
- be fine. BTW it is one of the very first STe's that ever
- came out over in England, so it may occur on other early
- STe's, can't see why may just be a coincedence!
