  13. some people were interested in the project "Eprom Disk" the german 
  14. magazine C'T published some time ago.

  16. I looked it up and found a lot of paper :-), so I don't post any of the 
  17. articles, but I think if someone has further interests in this subject, he 
  18. (she) should post this and tell the rest of the people who want to know 
  19. about it, that he (she) is willing to email 'ct@ix.de' to ask for the 
  20. possibilities to get the articles mentioned further on and the software 
  21. accompanied. Here, I must tell you, that the main part of the software, 
  22. mainly the driver program for the 512kB (1MB) eprom disk wasn't published 
  23. in the magazine, due to the length of the source text. These programs are 
  24. only available on disk, or perhaps via ftp from:

  32. Ok, here are the results of my research:

  36.   1/86     | 128 kByte Eprom-Bank. This only shows how to connect the 
  37.            | 128kByte available at the Rom Port.

  39.  12/86     | These two issues describe some software to deal with the 
  40.            | 128kByte Eprom described in 1/86. 12/86 describes a block 
  41.            | device driver to use the eproms as a 128kByte SSD(*)
  42.   7/87     | a universal interface, to connect IBM-PC-bus cards and 
  43.            | ECB-BUS cards to the Rom Port. This interface provides the 
  44.            | possibility to install 512kByte eprom at the Rom Port. A 
  45.            | piggy pack offers another 512kByte.
  46.   9/87     | a bus driver card for the Rom Port, built with SMD chips
  47.  10/87     | Software to deal with the 512k (1M) eprom space, as described 
  48.            | in 7/87. Included is a description of the block device driver 
  49.            | to use the eprom bank as a SSD. The source code itself is not 
  50.            | printed.
