  15. Well, add my name to the list of folks who would REALLY appreciate a little
  16. help getting started with MiNT! :)  I'm trying to get a minimum setup (trying
  17. to fit everything on one disk, formatted to > 900K) so that I can do a demo of
  18. itit for my users group.  I have MiNT, mgr, and the MiNT port of ksh on the disk, with a little
  19. room to spare, so every path will be A:\<something>.  MiNT starts
  20. without a problem, so does mgr.  But as soon as I try to define a window, I
  21. get the somewhat infamous "Can't get pty" error.  As far as I can tell, I
  22. have things set up right.  I have renamed mgr as the init.prg. and I have
  23. ksh and its path defined.  Is there something else I'm supposed to do?

  25. The docs for both MiNT and mgr are exceedingly sparse when it comes to 
  26. installation and configuration examples.  Is someone currently working an
  27. a MiNT FAQ?  How about a "MiNT Installation and Setup Guide"?  If I get 
  28. responses and help, I would be willing to get one started and post my
  29. results.

  31. So, I guess what I need is: 
  32. 1.  where do the various *.rc, *.cnf, etc. files go?  auto, root, where?
  33. 2.  what do I need defined in these files?  paths, devices, what?
  34. 3.  what order do things need to be in?  MiNT first, then what? and where?
  35. 4.  any other tips and hints greatly appreciated
