- I'm wondering how difficult it would be to make a 160 x 192 x 16 shade
- mode. It would come in very handy, esp. when making Computer Eyes
- captures (unfortunately, there'd have to be a program made specifically
- for doing the 16 shade mode... or perhaps since I believe the capture
- software (the "Executive") is in the PD, someone could just add this
- feature onto it.) Anyways. I see it being done just like a Pryzm mode,
- except instead of using alternating 80 x 192 x 16 grey/color modes, just
- alternating 160 x 192 x 4 grey screens. (page flipping, or doing it like
- APAC interlaced and EscalPaint do it..) Another neat idea is a 256 grey
- shade mode (80 x 192 .. I've made 80 x 96 by altering the APACmode code I
- have) or even 256 color mode done with 2 80 x 192 x 16 COLOR screens,
- instead of 1 80 x 192 x 16 color and 1 80 x 192 x 16 grey screen.
- Perhaps one screen would have a lower luminence value than the other?
- I'm not sure what exact purposes any of these modes except the 160 x 192
- x 16 grey would have, but they all seem pretty easy to design because
- they are only variations on exsisting graphics modes.
-
- Anyways.. anyone up to it? Also.. does anyone have code for
- Pryzm/EscalPaint/Interlaced APAC modes (esp.easily added to a BASIC
- program ;-) ). I'm beginning to find 80 x 96 as a little blocky.
-
- Thanx in advance for the latter. All comments welcome on the 1st bit.
- later Bill
- (constantly looking for niftier graphics modes!)
