- The operating system was cross-compiled from a mainframe (can't remember
- which one, and I haven't been able to find my ATARI Technical Reference
- Manual in about a year! :^( ). I don't know about BASIC and A/E, but
- I'd hate to think they were (as a nasty rumor states) written on a
- Crapple II! <shudder> ;^)

- As for why the bugs were there, I'd guess that they weren't field-tested
- for months on end before release, which is what it usually takes for a
- large number of bugs to appear.
