- Well, I have been out of the 8-bit world for a while (please, no
- flames, I'm just saying that to explain my lack of expertise!!)
- but I thought the SX212 has both the RS232 connection and a
- standard Atari SIO connection. It so, it seems that if you used
- that directly, instead of going through your P:R:, you could
- at least see if it was the P:R: that was acting up... Talking
- of strange P:R:'s, the one I had broke one day and dropped the
- 8th bit of every character coming in the serial port, so any
- EVEN Atascii character came through okay, but and ODD numbered
- Atascii character displayed as the char. before it... Talk about
- headaches trying to figure out what happened!! I musta spent
- hours messing with parity, data bits, etc... Geez!
