  11. I got a call from David Richardson a day or two ago (he was verifying my 
  12. address) and is going to send me 5 disks worth of ARCed files - unARCed 
  13. size being >9< disks!!! which describes how to add pictures to text files 
  14. and I suppose has examples (he says there are over 100 fonts on these 
  15. disks).  Anyways..  what he says to do is unARC them all, then go into 
  16. DDIII's PP.COM and go thru EVERY SINGLE text file on each disk!!!!  He 
  17. says the docs come out to be about 47 pages.  WHEW!  Welp...  I got some 
  18. disks ready to be mailed out to him so he can mail 'em back with the ARCs 
  19. on 'em...  THis'll be fun! :)

  21. One thing he said tho is there's probably 20 copies of some of the fonts 
  22. because they're used thruout the entire text.  WHY!?  Why wasn't DDIII 
  23. made to be disk-swapable!?  Instead of having each disk w/ a copy of a 
  24. font, just have it on one disk and when the PP.COM file reads from the 
  25. text to change fonts, and it sees that it can't, it should request a disk 
  26. swap!  SIMPLE!  Sure, you'd have to hang around the computer all the 
  27. time, but I have to anyways because the paper I use in my printer likes 
  28. to jam if it's not seen to every once in a while...

  30. Oh well...      one day that'll hopefully be fixed.

  32. Oh..just as a note David & I got into talking about Graphics 9 dumping 
  33. (which he says this can do) and said he's made plenty of ColrView 
  34. digitized pictures with ComputerEyes...  he also plays with GIFs alot...  
  35. he got an IBM just to look at the GIFs...  how ironic that an 8-bitter 
  36. gets an IBM JUST to help out the 8-bit!  <snicker!>
