- I've built a couple monitor cables for my Ataries, but I've always built
- the cables to match my monitor - that is, I used only the luma when I had a
- monochrome monitor and I used only the composite when I had a color monitor
- (I never owned a monitor that used both signals such as the Commodore
- 1702). All the parts are readily available from Radio Shack. I often
- looped the composite and audio signals through our VCR. By doing this I
- could use my Atari as a cheap animated video titling machine (of course,
- without genlock I couldn't overlay images - but it certainly dressed up the
- home movies). Of course this isn't a direct response to the question about
- putting signals from the Atari into a SVHS deck, but I thought someone
- might be interested in the idea.
