- I "sort of doubt" that Apple hasn't thought of this. I think it's quite
- likely that they negotiated some sort of deal with Nabisco. After all, the
- word "Macintosh" was also the trademark of another company (a maker of
- high-end stereo equipment). Apple simply paid them for the rights to use
- the term, and eventually bought the trademark outright.
