- Fooey! My Zip GS is over a year old and out of warranty, and they want to
- charge me an extra $75 for the upgrade. Fat chance! Whenever you (or anyone
- else) figure out exactly what's required for this upgrade, please post the info
- to the net (along with good sources for the parts). I thought the fact that
- the Zip uses all standard components (except for the ASIC) was one of the big
- reasons for owning one. My question is, how does one tell from software what
- the maximum speed of the Zip GS is (e.g. on the Zip control panel)? Does it
- do a timing loop or is there something on the board that indicates the speed
- (which might have to be changed in addition to the components)?
