- Someone recently posted a note on how to get this program to work
- with 6.0. That information is years old, and was given to people
- at the time due to RR not working with different HD controllers.
- Basically you edit the file MISC.RTNS and it removes the copy
- protection.
-
- The Learning Company charges a lot for their programs. They made lot's
- off GS users, schools, etc...Here is a good example of why people
- are reluctant to spen $60 for a program. The Learning Company is a
- reputable company. Their programs, which cost a fortune no longer
- work on the GS. RR used to be one program that was demoed along with
- Cartooners on the GS, as the pC versions were terrible. RR has improved
- on the PC but where is the Learning Company when you need them? What do
- you tell the people who spent $300+ and find themselves with junk because
- of copy protection, etc...And people wonder why so few are willing to
- pay for sw.
-
- The GS and NeXT markets are too small to let down the developers using
- and supporting them. However I feel little sympathy for many, many
- companies who milked the platform dry and left.
