  20.      Yes, a couple of people have mentioned this, and it makes sense.  The
  21. main reasons I wanted to offer email service were for automating the process
  22. from this end (and to allow feedback) and because sending a message is free
  23. for most people.  An 800 number would be free for those that could use, but
  24. I'll have to determine if it's feasible (it's not free for the owner!)  But
  25. if the response is good, which it seems to be so far, I will look into it.

  30.     Well, I don't know how many people make a living off shareware, but a
  31. few people use it to supplement their income, and most people would like to
  32. get a little something for all of their efforts.  They are spending their
  33. own time working on something when they could be using that time on
  34. something else or relaxing or whatever.  Time is money, or whatever.
  35. Besides there are some excellent shareware (and freeware!) programs out
  36. there for the GS that could vary well make it as commercial programs in
  37. other markets, and these authors have also offered you the very valuable
  38. offer of letting you try-before-you-buy.  I've bought a few bum programs in
  39. my day, and it's annoying to have spent your money on such junk.

  42.     So far, the response has been very positive, but I've yet to hear from
  43. any authors - for good or bad.  It's only been a day so I'm not worried,
  44. but I hope to hear from some of you soon.  I'll keep you posted.  Bye for
