  15. This is one of the many areas about which I know very little.  According to
  16. several friends of mine who are system level programmers JPeg is a flawed
  17. system.  After packing and unpacking GIFs or whatever you begin to loose some
  18. of the picture quality.  I would be willing to bet that the same could be 
  19. said for any version of the process.
