- Yeah, I remember buying Marble Madness (on eof those "early" games) and
- having to return it because it required a ridiculous 512K!! Eventually
- I gave in and bought the darn memory card when I bought WordPerfect.
-
- I thought I was all set, until Paintworks Gold came out and needed a
- whopping 1.25MB!! Especially at a time when memory prices were going
- sky-high (I think it was about $9 per chip for the 41256 at the time).
- You should have seen me barter and deal for the used chips I
- procured at only $3 apiece!!
-
- I thought I was all set (I mean, who in the world would need over
- 1.25MB RAM??), until System 5 came out (with everyone's nifty
- inits and DA's that were appearing) and things like HyperCard
- that require 2MB!! Anyway, Currntly I am happy with my CV Tech
- card, but who knows what the future will require, especially
- with System 6 and Pointless!!
