- ][ suppose neither of you have seen my Apple M font? It simply
- duplicates the Apple II text font, as a standard QD II font. I find
- it quite legible (and apparently so do a lot of other people, like
- Resource Central and Softdisk, who use it on their disks a lot).
- Also, consider this: since the 80-column text screen is 560 pixels
- across, Apple M can be used on the 640 pixel wide SHR screen to display
- full 80-column text in a standard desktop window along with scrollbars!
- For this reason (and because it's monospaced) I use it as my default
- font in GS apps when working with straight text files.
-
- ][n case you're wondering, the "M" in "Apple M" stands for both
- "monospaced" and "MouseText," since it also contains the complete
- MouseText character set, accessed by holding down the Option key and
- typing the corresponding lowercase keyboard character. It even has
- the "running man!" (as the UPPERcase characters of what it used to be).
