- For those of you with copies of "Star Trek: First Contact", a game for the
- 8-bit //e I sent up to comp.binaries.apple2, here's a message from the author.
-
- It concerns some info on an upcomming fixed version. Mainly the crashing
- problem with on running on a IIgs. (No, he doesn't have InterNet access or
- a NetMail address....yet!)
-
- --------------------------------
-
- I had hoped the IIgs compatibility bug was a result of compilation
- error or something to do with a particular configuration, but now it seems
- it is a general problem between ZBasic and the IIgs. I have spoken with
- Zedcor, and they are completely mystified, as I am. The game runs
- perfectly well on 8-bit systems, and it makes no sense to me that it should
- crash intermittantly on the IIgs. I am trying to get access to a IIgs
- system, myself, to investigate further.
-
- I genuinely appreciate all the postive commentary and suggestions
- which have been funneled back to me. I'm very glad the game strikes a
- chord with Trekkers.
-
- If I can isolate the problem with the IIgs compatibility, there
- definitely will be a major update. If not, I will eventually release a
- revision which will encorporate some minor cosmetic changes, and I hope,
- some of your suggestions.
-
- Thanks.
