  13.   For those of you with copies of "Star Trek: First Contact", a game for the
  14. 8-bit //e I sent up to comp.binaries.apple2, here's a message from the author.

  16. It concerns some info on an upcomming fixed version. Mainly the crashing 
  17. problem with on running on a IIgs. (No, he doesn't have InterNet access or
  18. a NetMail address....yet!)

  22.         I had hoped the IIgs compatibility bug was a result of compilation
  23. error or something to do with a particular configuration, but now it seems
  24. it is a general problem between ZBasic and the IIgs.  I have spoken with
  25. Zedcor, and they are completely mystified, as I am.  The game runs
  26. perfectly well on 8-bit systems, and it makes no sense to me that it should
  27. crash intermittantly on the IIgs.  I am trying to get access to a IIgs
  28. system, myself, to investigate further.

  30.         I genuinely appreciate all the postive commentary and suggestions
  31. which have been funneled back to me.  I'm very glad the game strikes a
  32. chord with Trekkers.

  34.         If I can isolate the problem with the IIgs compatibility, there
  35. definitely will be a major update.  If not, I will eventually release a
  36. revision which will encorporate some minor cosmetic changes, and I hope,
  37. some of your suggestions.
