  18. We have a DN5500 with a (supposedly) fast 700Mb disk acting as a news server
  19. and it just gets appallingly slow whenever it has to do anything that
  20. resembles a lot of i/o eg news unpacking, omniback backups, compress for
  21. news batching etc. In fact it comes close to stopping if these operations
  22. happen to overlap :-(

  24. I'd **luv** to be able to tune _something_ to make it go just a teensy bit
