- BIX has established itself in Europe, or had back when I used to
- read BYTE. It hasn't here.

- Here, it is MUCH easier to get access to ftp than it is to get
- access to BIX. The local city council provides ftp services for
- free in Wellington.

- Also, from a freedom/utility point of view, Usenet is much more
- preferable to either BIX or Compuserve, BECAUSE it isn't a
- commercial thing, has data distributed all over the place, has
- mail servers, has AmigaUUCP for its offline operation, etc.
