- I don't have access to "true" news groups. I currently receive all the
- posts to comp.sys.amiga.programmer as plain mail from a relay service at
- udel.edu. This is probably the case of many of those who are reading this
- message. Unfortunately, I've received a note from someone @udel.edu saying
- that this service will close its doors in a few weeks.
-
- I know, from an "Amiga Frequently Asked Questions" posted to the I-AMIGA
- Bitnet group (mine is dated July 31, 1991) that there is also a relay
- service at ucbvax.berkeley.edu, which I have used successfully to post this
- message you are reading. That doc tells me to send a subscribe message to,
- for instance, comp-sys-amiga-reviews-request@ucbvax.berkeley.edu to
- subscribe to the reviews group, which didn't work (the mail returned with
- an "user unknown" error).
-
- So, I would really like to know from those of you who read amiga
- newsgroups through some kind of relay, which ones are available, and how do
- you subscribe to them.
-
- Thanks a lot,
- Bruno.
-
- PS: The place I work is fully connected to Internet, but it doesn't
- receive any newsgroups. If receiving the Amiga newsgroups incurs in no big
- overheads for the mail server (I'm the only one reading them), I think I
- could talk the sysadm into installing the news software. What do you say?
-
- PS2: Please reply through e-mail, as I only read c.s.a.programmer.
