  11. Can anyone tell me why I can NEVER NEVER NEVER get a .dms filetype
  12. to ftp/dl/unarc properly?  I am a -longtime- user and QUITE familiar
  13. with transfering files.  I can successfully ftp/dl/unarchive many file
  14. types.  With DMS I -invariably- get a FATAL ERROR and corrupt archive
  15. I had shied away from .dms files for several months... Today's listing
  16. from recent physik posts included a new bbs that was DMSd so I figured
  17. I would give it another try.  I even went so far as to ftp in the
  18. most recent DMS (dms111) from amiga.physik while I was at it.  I tried
  19. the smaller of the two files for TrinityBBS first and got an error on it
  20. I was not too happy but I continued with the 400K download (using 2400
  21. and Kermit -gawd!-) of the main Trinity file.  After my 2 hour dl session
  22. I have nothing to show.  Is DMS picky, am I doing something wrong?
  23. Both files unpacked somewhat but it is incomplete. and DMS TEST of both
  24. shows
  25.  Header Identification Error
  26. ID:C100 for trinitybbs-2.dms   and
  27.  
  28. ID:1A00 for trinitybbs-1.dms
  29.  
  30. each is listed as a Fatal Error!

  32. HELP!  This is the same scenario I have encountered EVERY time I use DMS

  34. my setup is:  A2500/030 '882 1megchip 4megfast 105megQuantum 2.04ROM

  36. how do I get DMS to behave? OR how do I get intact DMS archives?  I have
  37. been downloading them EXACTLY like other archives which work beautifully.
