  11. Ok I have a bunch of questions that I have compiled into one post
  12. Please feel free to answer one or more via E-mail or followup here goes:

  14. 1> I have WB 2.04 and the hard drive back-up utility that it comes with is
  15. strange.  It first of all take s many disks to back-up on.  My 40meg quantum
  16. has 36 megs used and this program took 46 disks.  Here is another thing I put
  17. it in compression mode and it took more disks than normal mode 49 rather than
  18. 46.  Also you can set the drives that you want to use.  I have df0: and sf1
  19. oops df1: (disregard sf1).  What happened was that it backed-up starting with
  20. disk 1 in df0: went to disk 2 in df1: then from then on only prompted for disks
  21. to be enteredt into df0: and totally ignored df1: why?
  22. Also can anyone recommend a better hard drive back-up utility for floppies?  Is
  23. it worth it to buy Quarterback 5.0 or how is AMI-back? Anyone?

  26. 2>  I am also in the market for an audio digitizer.  8 bit seems the only
  27. affordable way to go.  Does anyone know how Perfect SOund compares with GVP DSS
  28. and Audition4 or AudioMasterIV?  Also will prices for 16-bit (Sunrize
  29. industries Studio-16) be coming down?  I have a friend who bought PAS-16 for
  30. his IBM for $219 16 bit audio in the IBM for less than the AMIGA!! A crime!!

  33. 3>  Next: FTP sites for AMIGA software.  I have seen many postings listing many
  34. different sites.  Does anyone have any opinion on which site or two or three is
  35. the most comprehensive (has things like AMI-NET and Fish disks etc)?  I don't
  36. feel like exploring 30 sites.  Anyone??

  39. 4>Finally here and on comp.sys.amiga.advocacy I have heard all this
  40. hype/bashing about the A3000+ the A4000 and the A600 and the AAchipset.  This
  41. has probably been discussed and explained before but would some kind soul
  42. please either post or E-mail me if you don't want to re-hash on the net,
  43. exactly what these machines (and chipset) are, when they are supposedly coming
  44. out - how much is hype how much is rumor, expected prices, compatibility with
  45. existing machines etc.  Especially because I am thinking of upgrading to an
  46. AMIGA 3000 - is it worth it/realistic/affordable to wwaIT FOR AN amiga 3000+ OR
  47. amiga 4000 - what is the deal?
