- I would like anyone's help (maybe someeone with first hand experience)
- on networking 6 or so 500's to a 3000. A elementary school teacher
- friend of mine is looking into purchasing the 500's for his classroom
- mainly for use in building math and English skills as well as art and
- PROGRAMMING. He has a 3000 and plans to use this as a file server for
- the 500's (or possibly 1000's if they turn out to be a cheaper option).
-
- My question is this; how much are the _cheapest_ reliable ethernet
- cards and drivers. How much will it cost him total to set up a system
- like this. He's open to other options with a concern on containing
- costs so if parnet could be set up to work through a parrell port card
- on his 3000 or options like that are feasable please let me know.
- I didn't see that as an option as I know of no parrell port cards
- for Zorro II/III slots and am only familiar with ethernet style
- connections.
-
- Thanks in advance for an advice I receive via e-mail or posted here.
