- Presently, I have a solid knowledge base of computers including Apple ]['s,
- Macintoshes, and PC's. Eventually, I will outgrow my present Apple ][GS's
- capabilities and I want to learn more about the Amiga. If I tell you want I
- do know then you can tell me more of what I do not.
- I know the Amiga is based on the motorola 68000 series as is the Mac, and
- even has 68040 accelerators at this point. The Amiga also has four sound
- channels built in and has a dedicated graphic chip as well. (Sound is import-
- ant to me since the Apple ][ has 15 channel stereo sound built in.) What is
- the present resolution of the Amiga graphics screen, number of colors etc. Are
- there DMA SCSI controllers with cache? How many expansion slots/ ports does
- the Amiga have? What bandwidth does the Amiga's bus run at? Ok, I know I am
- asking for a lot of detail, but I want to be sure.
-
- And software, are there desktop publishers that can print to lasr printers
- What developmental software exists for the machine, and finally, how much does
- it cost?

- PS. I like to hear about vaporware as well.
