- I just bought the V.32bis faxmodem. I was puzzled about the
- 14,400 speed being missing in AtalkIII. I haven't found any
- bulletin board that has that speed yet, so I don't really miss
- it, yet ;-{). Is it possible to trick up my 2000 so it will work
- with the 14400 speed?
-
- I am still learning how to use my modem. It does get "toasty",
- but seems to work. It is more sensitive to my wife picking up
- the phone than my Avatex 1200 was ;-{). I have gotten it to
- communicate with the PP&S 2400 baud V.42bis modems here at work
- at around 198 cps. Is that reasonable when dealing with 2400
- baud modems?
-
- I have done one test fax and it worked fine. I have learned that
- GPFax doesn't much like PageStream document files, but the trick
- of putting the GPFax driver in place of the printer and then
- printing works quite well, even when I run out of memory, it gets
- the job done.
