I had the same problem once, but I couldnt get the floppy to boot, period. What I did was take the floppy apart, clean it, check all the cable connections (power and data) and put it back in. THEN it
worked.
I even tried the floppy on another A1000, but it wouldnt work there either. Maybe u have the same
