- I have a A2000 1Mb, with XT bridgeboard (+hardcard) running Workbench 2.
-
- I'm going to buy a hard disk (with up to 2MEG RAM) & controller soon.
-
- The two options I've seen so far are.. (prices in pounds)
-
- a) Microbotics VXL30 25MHz EC, 52Meg GVP II + 2MB #225+#335 = #560
- b) GVP 25MHz 1MB RAM with SCSI, 52Meg drive #540+#200 = #740
-
- Option a) has no Math co-processor, but I just want a bit of day-to-day
- speedup (I could get a co-processor later for about #80). I get a total
- of 3Mb of RAM (16bit) instead of 2Mb (1Mb 16bit, 1Mb 32bit).
-
- Is there any reason not to opt for a) ? will the bridgeboard work ok ?
- Have I missed something obvious ?
-
- thanks
