I have recently purchased a WangTek 5525ES (525MB) QIC 6000 tape drive
and had it set up as SCSI 1, I had tested it out over the weekend by using my
syquest case w/o any problem using BTN. I then proceded to build a small cable to connect the syquest drive and put the WangTek in its own case which I got
from a fleemarket in the San Francisco bay area. I tested the tape drive
by itself w/o any problems in its new case. I then daisy chained the Syquest
(SCSI=5), the WangTek (SCSI=1) and to the Amiga (SCSI=6 for HD, 7=Controller).
Then the machine started to give me GURU 800000X (X=4,8,3) for various applications such as Cygnus Ed and HDtoolbox running under 2.04. BTN is not automatically mounted in my mount list but instead mounted by me manually. I also tried to change the Syquest drive's SCSI address to 0 and it totally locked up the machine!After turning off all the power, I changed it back and the 3000 thought the 100MB internal drive was corrupted!
