- I have a question for all you hardware gurus out there. I will soon come into
- contact with about $3000 that I can spend on my Amiga, so which of the
- following should I do?
-
- 1. Buy new 040 board with 4-8 MB of 32-bit RAM, and possibly SCSI.
- 2. Buy new 030 board (etc.)
- 3. Buy new laser printer, good DTP software, and an inexpensive 030
- 4. Buy neat output board, and accelerator
- 5. Wait 6 months (putting money on interest), then do one of the above, hoping
- prices come down.
-
- I currently have an A2000 with 1MB Chip, 2MB Fast; OS 2.04; a Dataflyer SCSI
- board with a (nearly full) 80MB Seagate drive; and access to a DeskJet 500. I
- want to be able to do some DTP work; I also do some C programming and am
- interested in 3-D modelling.
-
- Any recommendations welcome via EMail or posted here.
