  27. I have a Trumpcard 500 with TCUtils 2.0F--but with 1.2 ROMs (though I hope
  28. to be going to 2.04 within 2-3 weeks). I also have intermittent R/W errors
  29. on my hard disk that usually go away by hitting retry. I don't know why but
  30. it seems that the 2.04 ROMs are NOT the problem since I don't have them.
  31. TCUtils 2 *may* be the problem, but I doubt that too. I used to have an
  32. ST157N, but now have an ST157N-1. The first drive with TCUtils 2.0F NEVER
  33. had R/W errors--but it died of sticktion and was replaced by the ST157N-1.
  34. That is when I started having the R/W errors. You seem not to have had them
  35. until you reformatted. Don't ask me what all of this means...I just thought
  36. my experiences with similar hardware might be of interest to you. (I tend
  37. to blame the drive more than the controller...but I could be wrong.)
