- I have a Trumpcard 500 with TCUtils 2.0F--but with 1.2 ROMs (though I hope
- to be going to 2.04 within 2-3 weeks). I also have intermittent R/W errors
- on my hard disk that usually go away by hitting retry. I don't know why but
- it seems that the 2.04 ROMs are NOT the problem since I don't have them.
- TCUtils 2 *may* be the problem, but I doubt that too. I used to have an
- ST157N, but now have an ST157N-1. The first drive with TCUtils 2.0F NEVER
- had R/W errors--but it died of sticktion and was replaced by the ST157N-1.
- That is when I started having the R/W errors. You seem not to have had them
- until you reformatted. Don't ask me what all of this means...I just thought
- my experiences with similar hardware might be of interest to you. (I tend
- to blame the drive more than the controller...but I could be wrong.)
