  25. It died when CBM added a host of new libraries and entry points that
  26. make doing lots of things easier; in some cases it makes them
  27. possible.  Software that is given away is generally written because
  28. the author wants it. The extra functionality provided by 2.0 is a
  29. major boon to programmers who don't have to worry about "market share"
  30. (say 80% of them), so they're quick to use it. If you need something
  31. other than what they need, you're probably going to have to write it
  32. yourself.
