- I got a letter from IVS yesterday about their upgrade policies
- on the GRANDSLAM and TC Professional. They also included a very pretty
- booklet with ALL the products they produce, along with the VECTOR
- board. Here's the scoop on the Vector board:
-
- Vector:
- Vector is a third generation processor accelerator card that offers
- superior performance and a suite of features
- not found on any other accelerator. Based on the
- 68EC030, Vecror allows kickstart ROM to be mapped into
- local 32 bit RAM. Up to 32 MBytes of RAM can be added using
- industry standard 1Mx8 or 4Mx8 SIMMs. Vector
- includes IVS' super high performance Trumpcard Professional
- SCSI disk interface and has holes for mounting the hard drive
- right on the card. With a mouse controlled processor switch,
- you can use either the 68000 or the 68EC030. In 68000 mode, 8 megs of RAM
- and the autobooting SCSI port are available to the system.
-
- Above is a direct quote from the color pamphlet I got yesterday.
- There was no upgrade info nor price info for us
- Trumpcard/TC Pro/Meta 4 owners included. O-well. Looks like every board they
- make: clean, very pretty - -not too much crap on the board.
- There's a square chip spot that is NOT filled in. I don't know why,
- and they don't say why. CoProc maybe??
-
- Looks great.
