- Hello Dennis. Sorry (and surprised) to hear there is no Amiga dealer in
- Regina. Basically to answer your questions, the 3000 has room for 3 3.5"
- bays (although if you pile 1/2 height drives on top of each other, you
- have room for six - in theory). It has 4 slots (and a CPU slot) which
- includes a video slot, 2 Amiga/Bridgeboard slots and a plain Zorro II/III
- slot (in other words, up to four zorro II/III cards). I believe the power
- supply is 150 watts. It is a very nice compact computer - I own one.
-
- The 3000T is a LARGE tower configuration with enough room to satisfy just
- about anyone. It uses two fans and a 280 watt power supply. It has (I
- think) internal room for 4 (or 5) 3.5" and 3 5.25" devices. It has 5
- zorro II/III slots (2 of which are Amiga/Bridgeboard slots and one of
- which is a video slot), 2 additional PC slots, and the CPU slot. The
- motherboard is larger but includes the same functional capabilities as the
- 3000. I do not know the size of the case, but it is BIG.
-
- Any future C= models are not public knowledge but certainly software
- compatibility should not be a problem (assuming 68040 processor).
- Improvements to the chip set are supposed to be backwards compatible as
- well.
-
- If you are serious about buying one of these computers and wish to avoid
- paying provincial sales tax, Medicine Hat has two dealers (one real, one
- who orders everything from C=). I can arrange things with one of the
- dealers so that you pay only 10% above dealer cost (plus shipping, plus
- GST). E-mail me if you want more info.
