  12. When I used to get that problem, or any other problem with a 1541, I used 
  13. to stick the cardboard card, that came inside the drive when you bought it, 
  14. in the drive again.  I have no clue as to what this did, but it always 
  15. worked for me.  The card was supposed to be used when moving the drive 
  16. around, looked like a floppy with one or two tabs sticking out.. Good
