- Digiview is a monochrome digitizer. So your paused VCR picture
- was *supposed* to be in shades of grey. To make it do color
- digitizations, it is necessary to split the incoming signal
- into its red, green, and blue components, digitize each seperately,
- then combine them into one color image. This can be done either
- with the plastic filters Newtek provides, or better yet, with
- a color splitter.

- In any case, you probably will not get very good results from
- a paused VCR, unless you have a *very* good still frame on your
- VCR. Typical use is with a camera or a running tape of a still
- image.
